Wolf and his super long questions
1) Why was Desert RP chosen, over all other things, for an event?
We choose Desert RP for a few basic reasons, and secondly, we did not choose it for an event, we choose it as our overall game mode of play.
One, because it was very easy to convert to given the way Garry's mod is at this time. Everyone fighting over script writers, modelers and so on. Given the script we have to use, it was the easiest way for all of us. Choosing our theme, and settings, it was very easy to move in to with just about everyone well aware of the Half life two story line. Even more detailed it was something I personally had never seen tried before, It looked like it would be fun with the release of fallout assuming that people would mix fallout in with it quite a bit.
2) Are there any future plans for branch groups off from the Civil Protection and/or OverWatch?
I would assume so, but don't take it from me. Ask the Combine leader himself, Haze.

3) What is this community's Civil Protection like, and whats different about it compared to other communities' Civil Protection groups?
They're in the Desert, they carry out the much harder duty of dealing with citizens and bugs. With OverWatch teams clearing the desert. The Civil Protection teams are left to handle the town. With out much resources, even the smallest of problems in the big city can be a large deal yet. As Haze is still working on the Civil Protection rules and actions, it will be changing deeply as we adapt to desert role play.
1) What kind of changes are planned to make the script more RP-friendly?
I like to keep first things first, with the server down at this time, and the adaptions into Desert role play being made we've got much on our hands right now.
Although, some things I would like to see added to the server in time are;
New Civil Protection Desert Models
Dehydration mod - Much like The Stranded, but the rate is much slower, and causes your skills to go down while dehydrated.
Set down radio systems - If you've played on MelonScript, you'll know what I mean. You place a radio some where, and everyone in the area can talk and hear out of it.
Thumpers - We will be trying to upload some working thumpers.
2) How are NPCs going to factor into RolePlay?
NPCs often ruin roleplay in a sort. They will be mainly used as back ground effects to add some tune into roleplay. We will try and script it such that OverWatch NPCs that can be spawned will not attack citizens, along with turrets.
3) How are we going to optimize the RP for times when an admin is not around?
We'll, the easyest thing we can do is do our best to get rid of the trolls before they find us. Secondly, the fear of a ban request. Screen shots, and a request can do it.
As for Admin events, we could upload an NPC spawner that adds NPCs for the effect. Players with Advanced tool trust could easily combinify the towns and so on.
There is always the threat of poor roleplay, but that's something every communty fears. There are always the two faces in a community. The solution is to find and get rid of them, or more admins on the server. We've already got an expanding admin team, and I expect it to expand very soon.
